An increasing number of TV channels broadcast via local communication satellite
The number of broadcast channels through the national satellite of Azerbaijan Azerspace- 1 to 56, only 8 of them - local resources. Also through the national satellite broadcasts are 8 radio channels.
As the representatives of Azerkosmos told Turan, in order to increase the viewers' choice, work to increase the number of channels via satellite continues.
"Connecting new channels to broadcast via satellite is a long process. Number of broadcast TV and radio channels will be gradually increased. At the same time, work continues on a regular basis towards the use of other resources of the national satellite countries," said the JSC.
Note that the first telecommunications satellite of Azerbaijan was launched on the night of February 9 this year , and in May moved to a commercial activity.
