Approved Main Lines of Strategic Roadmap of Basic Sectors of National Economy
Yesterday approved were the main lines of the strategic roadmap of basic sectors of the national economy.
According to the presidential decree, a working group preparing the strategy plans will be headed by his assistant on economic reforms Natig Amirov. Drafters of the Economic Development Strategy for the 2016-2020 years, the long term vision to 2025, and definition of the project objectives after 2025 are required to submit their projects to the head of state for six months.
The Roadmap is divided into 8 main sectors: petrochemicals, agriculture, consumer goods, heavy industry and engineering, tourism, logistics, along with trade, affordable housing and training.
The infrastructures include ICT, financial and public services with a view to full privatization. --17D-

Azerbaijani internet service providers Aztelekom and Baktelekom will introduce substantial changes to their pricing structure starting August 15, the companies announced today. Under the new tariffs, the minimum internet speed will rise to 100 Mbit/s, with the cost per Mbit/s decreasing from 0.45 AZN to 0.25 AZN. As a result, monthly charges will be set at 25 AZN for 100 Mbit/s, 30 AZN for 150 Mbit/s, and 36 AZN for 250 Mbit/s.
