Arrears of State Property Rent Repaid Electronically
The list of electronic services provided by the authorities to the public has been expanded. The Azerbaijani Cabinet of Ministers made amendments to the "Rules of the central bodies of executive power on electronic services in specific areas," according to which the list is augmented with an opportunity to repay the debt for rent under contracts of state property lease.
Currently, the portal "e-government" integrates 423 electronic services of 41 government institutions; the greatest demand is for the e-services of the Ministry of Labor and Social Protection of Population provided by the VEMTAS system. There is also a large demand for electronic declaration of the State Customs Committee. Statistical indicators on the number of applications for these types of services over the past 7 months of this year reached about 1 million.
The portal of e-government support through the Ministry of Communications works with citizens and enterprises of the public and private sectors. It reduces the number of documents requested for the reduction of red tape due to the fact that different bodies interact with each other electronically. --17D-
