AtaBank Received Membership in MasterCard
BAKU/06.09.13/TURAN : AtaBank signed an agreement on how to connect to the international payment system MasterCard.
As reported in the bank, it would allow for operations by cards MasterCard and Maestro at ATMs of the bank. Full membership of AtaBank in the international payment system MasterCard Europe Sprl will allow the bank to issue international debit cards.
Within the issue AtaBank will provide for the use cards Maestro, MasterCard Standard, MasterCard Gold, and MasterCard Platinum. These cards will be characterized by the same features as the plastic cards VISA International payment system and they will be produced according to the volume of orders received. The ability of these cards to withdraw cash from ATMs in the country, as well as at ATMs more than 200 countries , the possibility of non-cash payment for the goods and services in shopping malls, as well as the widespread use of these cards for electronic payments over the Internet will significantly increase the volume of production of these cards.
The Bank is also a full member of the international payment system Visa International, with which it has collaborated since 2004. The number of cards issued by the bank is around 26,000 units. The number of ATMs and POS terminals is respectively 77 and 8,845 units. -15D -
