Austrian company contractor of construction of bitumen installation at Baku oil refinery
Austrian Porner GmbH company has become SOCAR’s contractor for construction of a new bitumen installation at the Heydar Aliyev oil refinery in Baku, SOCAR reported.
According to SOCAR, the bitumen installation will be put into operation first as a part of the project of upgrade of the oil refinery.
The infrastructure on the Azerneftyag oil refinery will be fully put out of operation, the oil refinery’s operation costs will be optimized, the oil refinery will be able to manufacture high quality bitumen and it will help to improve Baku’s environment, says the same source.
Capacity of the new bitumen installation will be 400,000 tons a year. The installation is planned to be launched in mid-2018.
Until then manufacture of bitumen in Azerbaijan will be continued by the bitumen installation at Azerneftyag. As soon as the new bitumen installation is put into operation, the current installation with the capacity of 250,000 tons of bitumen a year will be dismantled.—0—

Azerbaijani internet service providers Aztelekom and Baktelekom will introduce substantial changes to their pricing structure starting August 15, the companies announced today. Under the new tariffs, the minimum internet speed will rise to 100 Mbit/s, with the cost per Mbit/s decreasing from 0.45 AZN to 0.25 AZN. As a result, monthly charges will be set at 25 AZN for 100 Mbit/s, 30 AZN for 150 Mbit/s, and 36 AZN for 250 Mbit/s.
