Aiming to further expand the geography of flights "Azerbaijan Airlines" CJSC is launching direct flights from Baku-Beijing/Beijing-Baku starting from May 10, 2013.
Flights will be operated twice a week on Tuesdays and Fridays on board of modern and comfortable aircrafts Airbus А-340 and Boeing 767, purchasing of which allowed AZAL, for the first time in its history, operating long-haul flights.
The minimum tickets price for economy class on Baku-Beijing-Baku will be just 465 EURO (taxes and fees included).
It should also be noted that "Azerbaijan Airlines" CJSC jointly with Chinese partner-airlines offers special transfer tariffs for the passengers flying from Beijing airport to such cities of China as Guangzhou, Shanghai, Shenzhen, Hangzhou, Zhengzhou, Xi'an (Xian), Chengdu and others, as well as to the airports in the East and South-East. --08D--

At today’s session of the Milli Majlis, Azerbaijan’s parliamentarians discussed and approved in the first reading a draft law increasing the minimum subsistence level for 2025. The updated figures reflect a modest rise of 10 manats, setting the nationwide living wage at 285 manats. For specific demographics, the levels are 305 manats for the working population, 232 manats for pensioners, and 246 manats for children. The same session also approved the criterion of need at 285 manats for the coming year, aligning it with the national living wage.
