Azerbaijan has completed the process of international numbering CB
The National Depository Center has applied in respect of the outstanding securities of Azerbaijan (CBA) the code ISIN (International Securities Identification Number) - the numbering system of international securities issue.
In the NDC (National Numbering Agency in Azerbaijan) they noted that the transition to ISIN codes is the first step on the way of Azerbaijani issuers' securities on international stock markets.
ISIN code is a 12-digit code identifies the securities in transactions and settlement. These codes allow complete automation of clearing and settlement, to the conclusion of transactions in securities depository and registration.
NDC does not announce the list of accepted their issuers. According to the State Committee for Securities, Azerbaijan has over 1,800 issuers of shares and corporate bonds.
So far, none of the Azerbaijani issuers has ever put its securities in the international capital markets. - 08D-
