State investments in ski resort exceeded $ 1 bn
Cabinet distributed among ministries and departments of public investment funds in 2013, the total amount of which is $6.9 bn.
By tradition, the government keeps a secret decree on allocation of public investment. However, the third sector could "unearth" the document. Deputy Chairman of the Public Association "Help Economic Initiatives" (PEI) Rovshan Agayev unveiled the social network a few indicators of the order. The continuation of construction work on the creation in Gusar ski resort from the state budget for 2013 allocated an additional 100 million manats. Thus, the total amount of public investment in this facility is more than $ 1.3 billion.
The economist believes that the construction of commercial buildings like the state is not correct. "The government must create the conditions for business, the private sector would be interested in investing in such projects," said a representative of PEI.
At the same time, according to Agayev, investing huge funds in skiing and mountaineering are not justified, and for commercial reasons, as in the region (Turkey and Georgia) is already well-established similar complexes. Return on investment can take a long time.
Note that the operator of the construction of ski resort is the Ministry of Culture and Tourism. The complex thus has so far put into operation one ski trail, a cable car, a few hotels, etc. - 08B-
