Azerbaijan introduced single tariff for expertise of exported oil
According to the decision of the Azerbaijan Tariff Council, the new tariff for expertise of exported oil will enter into effect on May 1, 2013, reads the information placed on the official web site of the Tariff Council.
“From May 1, 2013 cost of the expertise will not depend on the volume of the product as it is now,” reads the message.
Irrespective of the volume of exported oil, costs for one expertise will total 2300 AZN.
According to the effective tariff based on the Tariff Council’s decision made on November 24, 2011 “On regulation of tariffs for the services provided by the Bureau of Consumer Goods Expertise, which is subordinate to the State Service of Antimonopoly Policy and Protection of Consumers Rights of the Azerbaijan Ministry of Economic Development,” the fee for the expertise of 1 ton of oil is 0.04 AZN.
The fee for expertise of other energy resources remained unchanged: expertise of 1 ton of oil products will cost 0.10 AZN, 1 million cub.m. of natural gas – 280 AZN and 1 million Kwh of power – 225 AZN.—0—

Azerbaijan's financial standing continues to strengthen as the country's foreign currency reserves have surged to $71 billion as of January 1, 2025, according to the Ministry of Finance. This figure, which includes reserves held by the State Oil Fund of Azerbaijan (SOFAZ) and the Central Bank of Azerbaijan (CBA), far exceeds the nation's external debt, which stands at a fraction of its reserves, specifically nearly 14 times less.
