Azerbaijan is expanding the scope of cooperation in ICT
Representatives of the information and communication sector in Azerbaijan to cooperate with all countries of the CIS and Central Asia in the field.
The impression is created after extensive contacts accumulated during concluded on the eve of the two-day (18-19 April), the Istanbul Regional Conference and Exhibition Caspian Telecoms 2013. Country represented the Ministry of Communications and Information Technology (MCIT).
In recent years, the event has been steadily expanding and has been recognized the leading forum on telecommunications and information technologies for the Caspian region, the CIS countries, Turkey and Central Asia. This year, in the Caspian Telecoms was attended by over 400 delegates from 35 countries. Azerbaijan was represented by speakers: the head of the ministry regulation Aliyar Tamirov and CEO of Aztelecom Magomed Mamedov.
The conference and exhibition of our representatives discussed the state and prospects of development of telecommunications and information technology, including building international collaboration, the ability to create business partnerships and alliances.
In the sphere of interests of the participants there is primarily backbone telecommunications market, the development of IP-transit services in the markets of the CIS countries, the market for voice services, broadband access as a service, and infrastructure for new services. Experts briefed the participants with an overview of the fixed (FSS) and mobile satellite services (MSS) in the Caspian region and the CIS, with the possibilities of market convergence of information and communication technologies, including IT, media and telecommunications industries, including SMART TV & VIDEO.
Not least of all his partners were interested in Azerbaijani investment opportunities. In addition to representatives of administrations of communication, the conference was attended by equipment manufacturers, telecom operators, financial institutions, international organizations, etc. - 17D-

Azerbaijani internet service providers Aztelekom and Baktelekom will introduce substantial changes to their pricing structure starting August 15, the companies announced today. Under the new tariffs, the minimum internet speed will rise to 100 Mbit/s, with the cost per Mbit/s decreasing from 0.45 AZN to 0.25 AZN. As a result, monthly charges will be set at 25 AZN for 100 Mbit/s, 30 AZN for 150 Mbit/s, and 36 AZN for 250 Mbit/s.
