Azerbaijani Businessmen Traveling to Iran
The governmental delegation headed by Minister of Economy Shahin Mustafayev will visit Iran on a working visit on February 22-24.
According to the press service of the Ministry, the delegation, which also will include representatives of business, plans to visit the cities of Ardabil and Urmia. There will be held a business forum with the participation of the local business community. These cities are inhabited mainly by ethnic Azeris.
In 2016 the trade turnover between Azerbaijan and Iran exceeded 210 million. The deficit of the Azerbaijani trade with Iran amounted to $ 111.4 million, according to the State Customs Committee. At the same time, imports rose by 78.1%, while the export of Azerbaijani goods to Iran rose by 45%. --08D
