Azerbaijani-Israeli cooperation in agriculture
On August 12, the Minister of Agriculture, Ismet Abbasov, received the Ambassador of Israel, Rafael Harpaz, and discussed issues of cooperation in the field of agriculture.
According to the Ministry of Agriculture, the work is continuing on a draft agreement of cooperation between the Ministry of Agriculture of Azerbaijan and Israel, which will be presented to the Israeli side.
In recent years, Israel purchased a large amount of agricultural equipment. Thus, the state-owned company, "Agrolizing," bought from Israel, four irrigation systems, which are now installed in three areas of the country. The same company also bought from the Israeli firm Netafim two greenhouse complexes with the area of two hectares each.
Azerbaijani side is also interested in an active exchange of experience in various specialized fields of agribusiness. In particular, it is planned to create about 50 farms, each worth at least $ 25 million. -02D-

In 2024, Azerbaijan's "Single Window" Export Support Center processed 1,747 requests from businesses and individuals, facilitating the issuance of 3,982 export certificates. According to Vusal Gasimli, Executive Director of the Center for Analysis of Economic Reforms and Communications, these efforts supported export operations valued at USD 288.2 million.
