Azerbaijani Representation of British Airways Closed
British Airways PLC announced on November 9 the closure of its office in Baku. The announcement of this was made public in the newspaper Vergiler (Taxes) of the Ministry of Taxes (state for commercial entities registration authority).
British Airways operated in Azerbaijan since 2012. Besides, the branch of British Mediterranean Airways Limited in Azerbaijan has operated since 2000. The flight London-Baku was operated by the airlines British Midland International.
AZAL told Turan the current regular flights on the route Baku-London-Baku are performed by only Azerbaijan Airlines. The flights are operated four times a week (Monday, Wednesday, Friday and Saturday). The minimum cost of return ticket is 925 manat.
Charter flights from Baku to London are also performed by Turkish Airlines, Lufthansa, Aeroflot and others. ----08B
