Azerbaijani Scientists to Have Access to Springer Scientific Base
Representatives of the German Informatics are interested in developing ties with Azerbaijani counterparts.
Yesterday the Institute of Information Technologies of the Azerbaijan Academy of Sciences was visited by Sitka Aktas - the manager for Turkey, the Caucasus and Central Asia at the Springer international scientific base.
As the website of the Institute (http://ict.az/az/index.php?option=com_content&task=view&id=2457&Itemid=122) said, the guest visited the distance learning control center in the AzScienceNet scientific and educational innovation network and expressed satisfaction with the level of technical equipment of the local scientists.
According to the agreement between the two academic institutions, cooperation with the International Organization for Azerbaijani will create an opportunity for publications in leading journals in the world. In addition, they will have access to the Springer information base.
This research base was established in 1842 and specializes in scientific, technological and medical knowledge. Each year, it publishes more than 1,900 journals and 3,500 books in 12 scientific fields. In its scientific base there are more than 4 million generally accepted scientific sources. - 17D-
