Baku/15.03.23/Turan: "AzerGold" CJSC has announced plans for the extraction of gold and silver in the current year. Also, silver production is projected to be twise as less than the last year.
According to the press service of the state gold mining company, in 2023, the production of 62.500 ounces of gold and 108.300 ounces of silver is set as the target.
Last year, as a result of "improving the efficiency of using mineral resources of deposits and optimizing production processes," production indices were brought to 62.100 ounces of gold and 223.100 ounces of silver. Gold production in 2022 rose, as compared to 2021, by 524 ounces (0.9%), and silver – by 88.600 ounces (65.9%).
In total, "AzerGold" CJSC produced 318.000 ounces of gold and 711.000 ounces of silver in 2017-2022. -08D-

Natural gas supplies from Azerbaijan to Bulgaria have been temporarily suspended due to technical reasons from January 6, 2025, Turan reports. Bulgarian «Bulgargaz» Energy Company has announced the suspension, noting that supplies are expected to resume on January 11, 2025.
