Baku Hosts Training for Government Agencies Staff Responsible for Procurement
Baku hosts three-day training for the staff of government agencies that are involved in the work of the Commission for Public Procurement.
The spokesman for the Ministry of Economy, Abbas Aliyev told Turan that the training involves 120 workers of several government agencies and organizations that are funded from the state budget. Among them are the Ministry of Labor and Social Welfare, Irrigation and Water Management OJSC, the National Academy of Sciences, the Baku Appeal Court, the Judicial Council, the Union of Artists and others.
"The participants are instructed to increase the transparency and efficiency of the procurement procedures for the use of public funds," said the head of the press service of the Ministry of Economy.
The training is conducted by specialists of the State Service for Antimonopoly Policy and Consumer Protection (SSAMPCP) at the Ministry of Economy. It will end on July 29.
In January of this year, the State Procurement Agency was abolished and its powers were transferred to SSAMPCP. --08D--
