Baku opens exhibition "Travel and Tourism "
Baku/02.04.14/Turan : 13th Azerbaijan International Exhibition "Tourism and Travel » AITF starts on April 3 in Baku Expo Center .
This year the exhibition attracted a record number of exhibitors in composition: 351 companies and organizations from 38 countries, said at today's press conference, exhibition manager Khayal Aliyev. Over 60% of exhibitors are foreign companies that make proposals on tourism, developed for the Azerbaijani market.
Another achievement of this exhibition is part vystavke.24 national stands at national and regional groups from Argentina, Azerbaijan, Bulgaria, Georgia, Greece, Dominican Republic, Egypt , France, Montenegro , Czech Republic, Croatia , India and other countries .
The exhibition is timed holding important tourism industry event - the 57th meeting of the European Commission, the World Tourism Organization and the United Nations Seminar on effective development of tourism clusters , said the head of the tourism department of the Ministry of Culture and Tourism Aydin Ismiyev .
Responding to a question about Turan promotion of tourism potential of the country abroad , Ismiyev said that over the past 10 years, the government finances the participation of the Ministry of Culture and Tourism in international tourism exhibitions , as well as a demonstration of commercials on foreign TV channels. At these exhibitions their products represent over 20 local tour operators and travel agencies to attract tourists to Azerbaijan.
The first two days of the AITF announced days only for specialists tourism industry. On April 5 , the exhibition is also open to individuals. It will be held in conjunction with AITF 8th Caucasian International Exhibition "Everything for Hotels, Restaurants and Supermarkets » Horex Caucasus in 2014.
At the press conference it was noted that this year has increased the number of participants, representing the direction of "Medical tourism" . In addition, the exhibition will be attended by companies from Cyprus, Turkey and Europe offering services for property acquisition.
