Baku Telephone Network Invests in Expanding Subscriber Network
Baku / 25.02.19 / Turan: The State Telephone Network of Baku has signed a contract to create a network for 130,000 subscribers, telephone 80,000 apartments based on the use of GPON technology and expand the existing network.
The contract with DG Telecom LLC http://dgtelecom.az/ was signed on February 11. Its cost is 14 million 221.7 thousand manat (8 million 365.7 thousand US dollars).
The capacity of the telephone network of Baku Telephone Network LLC is 807,104 numbers https://www.baktelecom.az/stasionar-telefon. However, only 80.4% of the telephone numbers are in the use of subscribers.
DG Telecom LLC was established in September 2017 with a capital of 10 manat. The company"s director is Elmar Shahmuradov. What works this company has done before is unknown.
Under the Baku Telephone Network LLC (BTN), the Internet provider BakInternet has been operating since 2001. Through the BTN network, BakInternet (212,407) and other Internet service providers (52,460) are provided with broadband high-speed Internet services. Through 40.6% of the capacity of the telephone network, broadband high-speed Internet services are provided. --00
