Baku to host Azerbaijani-Belarusian Business Forum
In Baku Business Center on April 30 there will be a new business forum with participation of a delegation from Belgium.
According to the Foundation for the Promotion of Exports and Investment in Azerbaijan (AZPROMO), the forum will be held in the framework of the visit to Baku of the State Secretary for Foreign Trade of the Kingdom of Belgium Pieter De Crem. He is accompanied by a delegation of business circles of this country composed of 40 companies representing different sectors of the economy.
Last year in April and November two events of the kind were organized in Baku. According to the Ministry of Economy and Industry, in Azerbaijan in the fields of trade, construction, transport, communications, industry, etc., there are about 20 companies with Belgian capital.
In 2014, the trade turnover between Azerbaijan and Belgium amounted to $ 98.2 million, which is 28.7% higher than the figure for 2013. In this case, the balance of trade is positive in favor of Belgian goods for $ 95.2 million. Imports from Belgium in the past year increased 41%. In the first quarter of this year, the trade between the two countries increased by 65% to $ 26.7 million, the State Customs Committee of Azerbaijan reported.
Azerbaijan's exports to Belgium are made of walnut, aviation gasoline and chemicals. More than 500 types of goods are imported from Belgium. ----08B

Azerbaijani internet service providers Aztelekom and Baktelekom will introduce substantial changes to their pricing structure starting August 15, the companies announced today. Under the new tariffs, the minimum internet speed will rise to 100 Mbit/s, with the cost per Mbit/s decreasing from 0.45 AZN to 0.25 AZN. As a result, monthly charges will be set at 25 AZN for 100 Mbit/s, 30 AZN for 150 Mbit/s, and 36 AZN for 250 Mbit/s.
