Ministry of Finance Pays Government Stake in IBA Issue
The Ministry of Finance paid AZN 51,068,949.93 in the capital of JSC International Bank of Azerbaijan (IBA) on April 23. Thus, the bank's outstanding shares can be considered valid.
According to the decision of the IBA shareholders on 28 January this year, the bank attracted AZN 100 million from shareholders and investors within three months to increase the share capital. In addition, on April 2, it was decided to bring in another 200 million manat and bring the capital up to 890 million 192.3 thousand manat.
In April this year the listing committee of BSE included shares of IBA in the quotation sheet of the ground level, which up to this time had only securities of Demir Bank.
The state has a 51.07% stake in IBA.
The nominal value of the shares of IBA is 0.27 AZN and placement is carried out at this price. In the open sale these shares are no more than 0.14-0.15 manat.
IBA has been operating since 1992. The group of International Bank of Azerbaijan also includes subsidiaries in Georgia and Russia, insurance, leasing and processing companies and others. ---08B
