Banks in Azerbaijan Limit Foreign Currency Trades
The USD deficit has been observed in Azerbaijani banks since Saturday. Since Monday morning the situation has not changed.
Those who wish to buy dollars are either denied, or sold a limited extent. Since the morning the news about dollar deficit has been also periodically spread in social networks.
Turan conducted a survey on the subject at several banks.
A source in Bank Respublika reported that currently the USD sale has paused, noting that it was the decision of the bank itself.
A source in Rabita Bank reported that US dollars are sold with a restriction: $ 200 in one hand (and the same number of euros).
Sources in Ata Bank and Bank Standard said the sale limit is $ 500 per person.
Sources in the International Bank of Azerbaijan and Capital Bank reported the sale of currencies is carried out, without specifying whether there are any restrictions there.
Only one bank, Yapi Kredi Bank, reported that the USD sale is carried out without restrictions. -74B-
