Novruz Mammadov Again Accuses West of Bias
The Deputy Head of the Presidential Administration and head of the Foreign Relations Department Novruz Mammadov has again lashed out at the West.
"The domestic and foreign policies pursued by Azerbaijan show that biased approaches to it will not give any results. Our country is not controlled by any state, and this will continue," Mammadov told journalists.
According to him, ‘the Western circles, international organizations and states demonstrate a biased position against Azerbaijan.’ He believes it was reflected in the reaction of the international structures to the arrest of the executive secretary of the movement REAL Natig Jafarli.
‘Such attempts to interfere in the internal affairs of our country will never give any results. We must give up these double standards towards Azerbaijan,’ said Mammadov.
He lamented the fact that the West does not criticize Armenia, where mass violations of human rights were committed during the protests.
Then he made a loud statement that all supporters of Fethullah Gulen and the organization FETO headed by him will be revealed in Azerbaijan.
‘The FETO organization is fueled by some circles, and investigations in this regard, along with Turkey, are carried out in Azerbaijan. The forces behind these events will never be able to shake Azerbaijan and all advocates of FETO here will be revealed,’ suddenly said Mammadov.
"Investigations in Azerbaijan show that FETO, along with direct supporters, is also associated with some opposition structures in our country,’ said Mammadov.
It should be noted that after the visit of Azerbaijani President Ilham Aliyev to the USA in late March - early April, official Baku stopped the rhetoric of accusations against the West. And the same Novruz Mammadov insisted on strategic partnership of Baku and Washington.
However, after the summit of the Presidents of Azerbaijan, Russia and Iran in Baku on August 8 a new campaign of repression started against the pro-Western activists and the criticism of the US and the EU was intensified. -06D--
