Banks Not Imposed Restrictions on Sale of Foreign Currency
The tendency of a rise in price of the dollar once again updated the question of the sale of foreign exchange by commercial banks to the population.
According to Turan, at the end of last week, five banks suspended the sale of foreign currency.
The poll conducted by Turan about the situation with the sale of the dollar or the euro earlier in the week showed that many banks basically have not limited the sale of currency and sell it within the framework of the established rules.
Only sources in Demir Bank and the International Bank said the restrictions could only depend on the volume of cash flows in a particular branch.
A source in Pasha Bank reported that for about one month they had not sold foreign currency.
Restriction on the sale of foreign currency is used at the moment only by Mugan Bank and Express Bank – they give 100 and 500 dollars / euros, respectively, to one hand.
It should be noted that last week the dollar exchange rate consistently increased, and as of 24 October it was 1.6151 AZN.
Previously, experts believed that by the end of the year the US currency will rise, due to the start of fulfilling the external liabilities of companies and banks, which in turn will create a new dollar deficit. ---71D
