Chinese Company Offers Mulberry Seedlings for Gardens
The company Shandong Guangtong Silkworm (China) offers Azerbaijan mulberry seedlings for gardens. To this end, the company participated in the tender of the Ministry of Agriculture for the purchase of mulberry saplings to restore silkworm forage.
Last week, representatives of the company met in Baku with the Minister of Agriculture Heydar Asadov.
This year, Azerbaijan has produced 70 tons of silkworm.
The Azerbaijani government subsidizes the production of silkworm. Per kilogram of silkworm farmers receive AZN 2 from this year.
The tender for the purchase of mulberry saplings was announced on July 15. The Ministry of Agriculture has not told Turan on the number of purchased seedlings. ------08D

Azerbaijan's financial standing continues to strengthen as the country's foreign currency reserves have surged to $71 billion as of January 1, 2025, according to the Ministry of Finance. This figure, which includes reserves held by the State Oil Fund of Azerbaijan (SOFAZ) and the Central Bank of Azerbaijan (CBA), far exceeds the nation's external debt, which stands at a fraction of its reserves, specifically nearly 14 times less.
