The Central Bank of Azerbaijan in January-April arranged the issue of money in the amount of 426 million 39 thousand manats (+ 64.67% by the end of May 1 last year).
According to the report of the CBA, the total cash receipts to the banks for four months totaled 12,246,597,000 manats (6.29%), including the proceeds from legal entities - 2,897,967,000 manats (+ 21.56%) and individuals - 1,046,772,000 manats (14.75%). Proceeds from bank operations with legal entities and individuals amounted to 7,858,790,000 manats (minus 0.67%).
Total cash flow of cash through banks amounted to 12,310,878,000 manats (5.28%). In the first place the banks payments on transactions with legal entities and individuals - 5,280,129,000 manats (7.74%), payments to businesses and individuals engaged in self-employed - 3,104,151,000 manats (minus 9.87%), transactions through ATMs - 3,571,491,000 manats (+ 19.37%). -17D-

Azerbaijan's retail trade turnover climbed 3.9% in real terms in 2024 compared to the previous year, reaching a total of 62.2 billion manats, the State Statistics Committee revealed. Food, beverages, and tobacco accounted for 34.1 billion manats, while non-food products contributed 28.1 billion manats to the total.
