Discussed the progress of the privatization process in the first quarter

In the first quarter of 2013, the number of privatized land almost reached the objects sold small-scale privatization: businesses and vehicles.

Against the background of the suspension of the "big" privatization sale of land has become a priority of the State Committee on Property (SCP), which is kept secret from the public list of those lands.

In the first quarter of this year were sold about 220 plots located under the privatized entities. This was discussed at held on April 30 board meeting of SCP, said the press service of the state committee.

As a rule, the sale of the land is performed in secret - without the knowledge of minority shareholders and the shareholders. In many joint stock companies in Azerbaijan, shareholders do not have access to information about whether the privatized land for the company or not. The normative value of the land under privatized assets is many times lower than the market and it leads to corruption. For example, according to the holder of 2.5% of the shares "Baki Temir Tikinti" Vugar Ismayilov, the results of the general meeting of shareholders has been made a false report, according to which it was allegedly denied the privatization and lease of 1.5 hectares of land for the JSC. In the next step SCP sold the territory at a ridiculous price - AZN 400 per hundred square meters. This is 10 times less than the real value. Therefore, shareholders challenge the actions of the JSC and SCP in the administrative and economic courts.

In the first quarter of 2013 SCP also privatized 270 small enterprises and facilities, as well as vehicles. It was narrated in the lease of non-residential premises 229 and 255 of land for real. At the auction were sold stakes in 16 joint-stock companies. - 08B-
