Dollarization of Deposits Seen from CBA
While in 2014, bank deposits in foreign currency amounted to 36.2%, this figure was at 76.8% at the end of last year.
As stated in the report of the Central Bank of Azerbaijan (CBA) on monetary policy, the volume of deposits in foreign currency during the reported period to cash and average deposits and checks was at the level of 59.6%, while a year earlier the figure was 19.2%, which indicates the level of public confidence in the manat and the government. --17D-
