During a month about 638 million cub.m. of gas transported via Southern Caucasian gas pipeline
In January 2014 636.8 million cub.m. of gas was transported via the South Caucasian gas pipeline (Baku-Tbilisi-Erzurum - BTE) against 700,000 cub.m. of gas in January 2014, reads the report of the Azerbaijan State Statistical Committee.
In January 2015 2.3 billion cub.m. of gas was transported via the gas pipelines of the country, up 15% against January 2014.
The length of BTE pipeline is over 700 km. The pipeline is used to export gas extracted from the gas condensate field Shah Deniz in the Azerbaijani sector of the Caspian Sea. Gas is delivered to Georgia and Turkey. Azerbaijan also acts as a gas buyer.—0-
