E-commerce Still Not Popular in Azerbaijan
The share of electronic retail trading in the total retail trade (18 billion 89.1 million in January-September) amounted to 0.051%, despite almost a twofold increase compared to the same period last year.
According to State Statistics Committee, the transactions in this segment in terms of money were equal to 9.3 million manats, while 96.4% of the turnover came from non-food products, and their customers were mainly legal entities.
Recall last year the total turnover of e-retailers across the country was at the level of 6.4 million manats. --17D-
