Economic Claims Will Be Accepted Electronically
Amendments to the Civil Procedure Code of Azerbaijan were passed on September 30, 2016. The corresponding decree was signed by President of Azerbaijan.
According to the document, the text has been added articles 4.4, 138.5 and 272.4-1.
The first of these involves the possibility of filing lawsuits, allegations, complaints and other documents in the framework of economic litigation, not only in writing but also by means of electronic office information system "e-court" provided for by the law of Azerbaijan "On electronic signature and electronic document".
The second article involves placing court notices in electronic form. The third article assumes continuous video and audio recording of court proceedings on economic disputes. The record is attached to the protocol on a physical medium (disk) and is provided to the participants of the economic dispute and their legal representatives.--17D-
