Enterprises of Standardization and Metrology Opened for Privatization
President Ilham Aliyev signed a decree on making changes in the II State Program of Privatization. The program includes a paragraph stipulating the nomination for the privatization of enterprises of standardization and metrology.
The right to the nomination of these enterprises for privatization belongs to the President.
The State Committee for Standardization, Metrology and Patents told Turan the decision is made to eliminate the conflict of interest, since the agency cannot deal with regulatory issues of standardization and metrology, and at the same time to carry out economic activities in these areas through belonging to it commercial structures.
