EU Eastern Partnership Business Forum Launched in Vienna
Vienna / 06.12.18 / Turan: The business forum of the EU Eastern Partnership countries (Azerbaijan, Armenia, Georgia, Belarus, Ukraine and Moldova) started its work in the Austrian capital Vienna on Thursday.
The event is attended by representatives of governments, business circles, civil society and the media of the Eastern Partnership countries, as well as EU members.
The forum will consist of two panels on the themes "Energy Efficiency and Renewable Energy" and "Information Technology and Digital Markets".
According to the organizers, participants will have the opportunity to exchange information in the field of energy efficiency, rational use of energy resources and renewable energy. The focus will be on introducing new technologies into the development of renewable energy sources. The representative of the Ministry of Energy of Azerbaijan is expected to address this panel.
In the second panel, participants will discuss issues of digitalization.
The topics of presentations and group discussions will be opportunities in the single digital market, broadband communication and investments in the private sector.
In addition, the business forum on the idea of the organizers should serve to establish business contacts between enterprises.

Azerbaijani internet service providers Aztelekom and Baktelekom will introduce substantial changes to their pricing structure starting August 15, the companies announced today. Under the new tariffs, the minimum internet speed will rise to 100 Mbit/s, with the cost per Mbit/s decreasing from 0.45 AZN to 0.25 AZN. As a result, monthly charges will be set at 25 AZN for 100 Mbit/s, 30 AZN for 150 Mbit/s, and 36 AZN for 250 Mbit/s.
