Exhibition on environmental protection opens in Baku
From 21 to 23 November in the exhibition center Baku Expo Center will be held the 3rd International Exhibition for Environmental Protection "Caspian: Technologies for the Environment" CTE 2012. The exhibition is organized by the Ministry of Ecology and Natural Resources of Azerbaijan.
Today the exhibition company Iteca Caspian and its partner ITE Group PLC held a press conference on the readiness for the exhibition. The purpose of the exhibition is promotion and implementation in Azerbaijan of environmental equipment and innovative technologies that will contribute to the conservation of natural resources and improve the quality of life, said CEO Edward Strachan from Iteca Caspian.
Deputy Minister of Ecology and Natural Resources Firdovsi Aliyev noted that the exhibition on environment opens up new opportunities to access to new technologies for Natural Resources and Environment.
. CTE 2012 involved 60 companies from Azerbaijan, Belgium, Germany, Israel, Turkey and other countries. Much attention is paid to CTE by state structures of Azerbaijan. Among the participants there are the leading oil and gas companies: SOCAR, BP, Saipem, acting with their proposals and projects in the field of efficient use of natural resources.
30% of the total number of the participants are new companies. The exposition presents the latest developments in the efficient use of natural resources, renewable resources, recycling plants, showcasing the latest equipment models of alternative energy and attracting millions of people to environmental problems and their solution.
Particular emphasis is placed on exhibition for water treatment, and then use as drinking water. For the first time, the exhibition demonstrates the special techniques to restore damaged marine ecosystems. - 08D-

There is no sensationalism in the recent renaming of the Azerbaijani ship Karabakh to Mingachevir; the new name was given to the ship to ensure that two vessels would not operate under the same name, the Merchant Fleet of Azerbaijan Caspian Shipping Company (ASCO) CJSC told Turan.
