First block of floating dock is launched
A ceremony of the launching of the first of six units of the floating dock took place in the city of Nizhny Novgorod (Russia) on 30 November. It will be the largest dock in the Caspian Sea by its parameters (capacity - 8 tons, length - 158 m, width - 37 m, height - 13 m.)
According to the press service of Azerbaijani State Caspian Shipping Company (ASCSC), it is planned to deliver the dock to a new Baku Shipyard, where six blocks will be connected to it. Construction of blocks started in December 2011. The value of the contract to ship repair and shipbuilding corporation is $ 27.5 million. Docks are purchased at the expense of the state budget of Azerbaijan.
Over the past nine years the company purchased abroad 10 tankers, six ferries, and one freighter. Only for the beginning of December 2012, there were the fleet of the ASCSC totaled 84 trade ships, including 43 tankers, 13 ferries, and 25 dry cargo carriers. --08B—

Azerbaijani internet service providers Aztelekom and Baktelekom will introduce substantial changes to their pricing structure starting August 15, the companies announced today. Under the new tariffs, the minimum internet speed will rise to 100 Mbit/s, with the cost per Mbit/s decreasing from 0.45 AZN to 0.25 AZN. As a result, monthly charges will be set at 25 AZN for 100 Mbit/s, 30 AZN for 150 Mbit/s, and 36 AZN for 250 Mbit/s.
