The lawyer Agaev gives a chance to the Supreme Court of Azerbaijan
On 4 an 5 December Azerbaijan's Supreme Court will consider the claims in the case of the playwright and director Rustam Ibrahimbekov and the Director of the Institute for Peace and Democracy, Leyla Yunus.
The case of Ibrahibekova on the civil claim against the State Oil Company of Azerbaijan will be considered at 15:20 on December 4, and the administrative claim by Yunus against the Executive Power of Baku, the State Property Committee, and others, will be considered on December 5 at 15:40.
Fuad Agayev , the lawyer of the plaintiffs, said that these cases are brought together by a number of common factors: 1) the deprivation of private property; causing major damage; failure of the courts to restore property rights and compensate the damage.
"The Supreme Court of the Azerbaijan Republic has a chance to prove the existence in our country at least some justice, because violations are so monstrous, that makes Azerbaijan an outsider, even among the most backward countries in the world," said Agayev.
