First transport cards will be used in the center of Baku
Deputy Transport Minister Musa Panahov clarified today the question on a phased transition to the single payment cards in public transport in Baku. Panahov told Turan, that this is due to differences of fare on buses working in the suburban villages of Baku.
At the first stage payment cards will be used in 100 buses serving the central part of the city. Until the end of the year, the system will be used on all buses, as well as in metro, the deputy minister said.
In the next ten days installation of terminals in buses will begin. Passengers will be able to pay the costs of travel on payment cards "Western Union". Additional payment cards will be issued. Negotiations are going with banks on the integration of the payment system. --08C—
