From January next year, the IBA will start financing under Islamic banking
International Bank of Azerbaijan (IBA) has announced the launch of the "Islamic windows", created in the framework of the implementation of Islamic Banking.
As reported in the bank, the introduction of Islamic banking would be implemented in phases. From the end of the year the IBA Islamic Banking Department, with Behnam Gurbanzadeh as Director, will be finally formed and located in the new office. During the next three months they will complete the transfer of financing of current projects in the management of the Department and the formation of its investment portfolio.
From January 2013 the new structure plans to start financing of corporate and individual clients. - 15D -

Azerbaijani internet service providers Aztelekom and Baktelekom will introduce substantial changes to their pricing structure starting August 15, the companies announced today. Under the new tariffs, the minimum internet speed will rise to 100 Mbit/s, with the cost per Mbit/s decreasing from 0.45 AZN to 0.25 AZN. As a result, monthly charges will be set at 25 AZN for 100 Mbit/s, 30 AZN for 150 Mbit/s, and 36 AZN for 250 Mbit/s.
