Gasoline price to go up in Kazakhstan
From November 1, 2013 maximum retail price of petrol in Kazakhstan will go up from 110 to 117 tenge ($1.00= 153 tenge) per liter, Amanzhol Alpysbayev, deputy chairman of the Kazakhstan Agency for Regulation of Natural Monopolies, said at a briefing in Astana on October 4, 2013.
“As Brent oil price went up from $109 to $113.68 per barel in August 2013, in September it was decided to increase AI-92/93 petrol price from 110 to 117 tenge per liter with value added tax (VAT), considering 40% dependence of Kazakhstan’s market of this type of petrol on deliveries fom Russia . The order will be signed next week till October 12,” he said.
He said another reason of rise in prices for the most used types of petrol AI-93/92 is that from January 1, 2013 fees of railway transportation of oil products insides the country went up. This is connected with gradual unification of tariffs in correspondence with the World Trade Organization (WTO) demands and the agreement on regulation of access to the railway transport services worked out within the framework of the Customs Union and the Common Economic Space.
“AI-92/93 gasoline price did not change since October 2013. AI-80 gasoline and diesel fuel price remained the same – 89 and 102 tenger per liter, because of sufficient local production,” Alpysbayev said.—0--
