Turkmenistan president: TAPI gas pipeline becomes more important
Construction of the Turkmenistan-Afghanistan-Pakistan-India (TAPI) gas pipeline becomes more urgent and more real, Turkmenistan media reported on Saturday quoting Turkmenistan President Gurbangulu Berdymohammadov.
The enlarged session of the government took place in Ashgabad and TAPI report was on the agenda.
“Hundreds of the infrastructure objects are planned to be built along the main gas pipeline and it will become a real contribution to establishment of international energy cooperation. The project will positively affect general situation and make political and economic ties on the Asian continent more stable,” Neutral Turkmenistan newspaper quoted Turkmenistan President.
“In addition to the leading companies specializing in the oil and gas industry, many foreign financial organizations and banks have expressed their interest in this biggest in Asia energy project, which proves its profitability,” said the same source.
Turkmenistan TV reported that Turkmenistan President said at the government session that Turkmenistan has huge hydrocarbon potential, which has been confirmed by authoritative international experts.
“During the past several years a great job has been done to diversify the routes of natural gas export to the international markets,” Berdymohammadov said.—0—
