Government E-services Should Be More Accessible to Citizens - ASAN Representative
Vienna / 07.12.18 / Turan: Azerbaijan has done a lot of work in the direction of e-government and the transition to the digital format of work and services. This was said by a senior consultant for the electronic government and digital innovation at the state agency for rendering services to citizens and social innovations (ASAN) Adil Alekperov at the Eastern Partnership Business Forum in Vienna, speaking on the panel on "Information technology and digital markets."
He noted the successful example of digital technology in Azerbaijan - the tax system and the ASAN Imza electronic signature. "Digital technologies are also used in the export sector for Azerbaijani goods. In this sense, the work of the Azexport website should be noted, through which you can export Azerbaijani products. Recently, Azerpocht also began to provide similar services," he said.
Alekperov said that the primary task is to make government electronic portals and the services they provide more accessible to citizens. At the same time, he noted that, thanks to the business forum and bilateral meetings within the forum, the Azerbaijani side intends to examine the experience of colleagues from other countries to fill the existing gaps in the information sector technologies.
Note that the topics of presentations and group discussion in the panel also included opportunities in the single digital market, broadband communication and investment in the private sector. -71D-
