Gumilev Center"s Website Started
The ideas of the Turkic world famous, ethnographer and historian Lev Gumilev are alive. This is evidenced by the opening of the information portal http://www.gumilev-center.az of the Azerbaijani branch of the Center.
According to the Director of the Center, Paul Zarifullin, we have reached the age of 101 years since the birth of the luminary of the Eurasian thinking and living. He proposed to unite the peoples of the Soviet Union on the basis of Gumilev fundamentalism. These ideas have been implemented in the biggest countries of the CIS as the Eurasian Union and the Customs Union.
The Russian official noted that the first book was printed and distributed by Gumilev in Baku, and then became popular throughout the USSR and worldwide.
The head of the local branch of the Center Gulnara Inandj introduced the visitors to Lev Gumilev and spoke about the project and details of operation of the website, most of the materials of which are in Russian and Azeri. -17D-
