Handing over of associated gas from ACG to Azerbaijan increased by 23.4%
From January to September 2014 2 billion cub.m. of associated gas from development of a bloc of Azeri-Chirag-Guneshli offshore fields was handed over to Azerbaijan, reads the quarterly report of BP-Azerbaijan company (operator of ACG development).
BP increased handover of associated gas to Azerbaijan, in particular to State Oil Company of Azerbaijan (SOCAR), by 380 million cub.m. or by 23.4% against the same period last year.
Associated gas from the ACG development is handed over to SOCAR free of charge.
In 2013 SOCAR handed over 2.19 billion cub.m. of associated gas to SOCAR against 3.4 billion cub.m. in 2012. In 2013 Azerbaijani population consumed about 2.3 billion cub.m. of gas.—0—
