Hazelnut Exports Decreased by 12.3%

The Shah Deniz field, located in the heart of the Caspian Sea, continues to be a cornerstone in energy production, as highlighted in the first quarter report submitted by BP.

The Baku-Tbilisi-Ceyhan (BTC) pipeline, a linchpin of Eurasia's energy infrastructure, has surpassed a significant milestone, with cumulative oil exports exceeding the 4 billion barrel mark since its inauguration in June 2006.

According to the data published by the State Tourism Agency, in the first four months of this year, Azerbaijan's air transportation sector experienced a significant upturn. Given the marked increase in passenger numbers, the report highlights the country's growing attractiveness as a tourist destination and its key role in ensuring regional connectivity.

Oil production at the Azeri-Chirag-Guneshli (ACG) project faced a notable setback in the initial quarter of 2024, with total output averaging approximately 339 thousand barrels per day (bpd), marking a decrease of 20% compared to the corresponding period last year. The quarterly report, jointly published by BP and its partners, sheds light on the intricacies of this downturn.
