Baku/22.02.19/Turan: Haji Shahin Hasanli, a well-known Shiite theologian, Akhund of the Meshadi Dadash Mosqueli was appointed the announcer of the program "Awareness of Truth" on the state television channel Medeniyyyet (Culture).
In this capacity, he replaced the head of the department of oriental studies at Baku State University, Academician Vasim Mamedaliyev.
The elderly scientist himself decided to leave the program and wished to transfer the role of the announcer to the younger generation, Hasanli said.
The program is on Thursdays with a duration of 15 minutes.
It should be noted that today Shahin Hasanli is the most influential and popular theologian, thousands of people gather at his sermon. Records of these sermons are then distributed on social networks and passed on to believers to each other. Audio recordings of his speeches can also be heard in public.
He is also the plenipotentiary representative of the head of the Muslim Board of the Caucasus in the city of Baku. -06D--

President of the European Parliament Roberta Metsola has invited Azerbaijani economist and political prisoner Professor Gubad Ibadoglu to Strasbourg to attend the 2024 Sakharov Prize award ceremony.
