Head of State Securities Committee Considers It Necessary to Change Monetary Policy in Azerbaijan
The politics of AZN devaluation has also left marks on the capital markets in the first quarter of this year. This was at the Board meeting of the State Securities Committee this week, said the head of this department Rufat Aslanli.
According to him, investors are interested in long-term assets, as well as corporate bonds, including those provided with liquidity in the market. At the same time, he believes that the negative trends in the global economy have little effect on the financial market in Azerbaijan.
"The fall in oil prices is reflected in the decrease in foreign exchange earnings of Azerbaijan, which, according to Aslanli, is closely linked with the global economy. Therefore, he believes that to achieve growth of the financial sector, Azerbaijan should change its monetary policy. ----- 08D
