The trial of the case of the death of the son of the head of "McDonalds" representative office
Trial in the case of the death of Sanan Mirzoyev, the son of Magsud Mirzoyev, the head of the Baku office of "Mc Donald's", is coming to end in the Serious Crimes Court.
Testimonies of the accused, victims and witnesses has finished.
Sanan Mirzoyev died in a car accident on 29 September, 2014. The guilty in an accident is Asgerli Ilham, son of Asif Asgerli , the head of executive power of Sabail district of Baku. The accident occurred on the highway Zig-Airport when the car "Mercedes S500" driven by Ilham Asgerli collided with the truck "Howo", driven by Ahliman Suleymanov. In the "Mercedes" at the time were also Sanan Mirzoev and Parvin Fatullaev (driver.)
Sanan Mirzayev died some time later in hospital. Fatullayev and Asgerli were injured, and after treatment, they were taken under house arrest. From the testimony of witnesses comes the following picture: "Mercedes" was driving at a speed of 180-200 km/h, and touched the back of dump truck while trying to overtake.
At trial, two policemen-witnesses, who arrived at the accident scene, claimed that the collision occurred when the driver of the truck was trying to turn off the highway through the destroyed fence. However, the defense denied this claim, after which the police did not insist on this version.
The accused in the accident Ilham Asgerli also changed his testimony, first argued that the truckdriver did not want to give him the way, and he tried to overtake the truck on the right. And finally, he repeated the testimony of the police, that the accident occurred at the time when truck was leaving the road.
It is noteworthy that Sanan Mirzoev taken to the poorly equipped hospital in Sabunchu, and Asgerli and Fatullayev were taken to the Central Clinical Hospital. In addition, the ambulance car was not equipped with a respirator that was important to assist Mirzoyev who received a head injury and his health was very serious.
Chief executive of Sabail district Asif Alesgerli promptly was informed about the accident.
According to Magsud Mirzoyev , the father of the deceased, Asif Alesgerli, head of the district , primarily engaged in the salvation of his son, but did nothing to help Sanan.
Magsud Mirzoyev said that on the day of the accident he was in New York, and none of his family was informed of the accident. Later, when Sanan’s relatives called him, staff member of Sabunchu hospital answered Sanan’s telephone, and reported the incident.
