Ilham Aliyev: new development program will be adopted
Baku/23.12.13/Turan : On Monday, President Ilham Aliyev held in the City Hall of Baku a conference on the results of the state program of socio-economic development of Baku and its settlements for 2011-13.
Ilham Aliyev told about significant results to resolve the problems of the capital, the implementation of large infrastructure projects. According to him , these issues will continue to be the focus of the state.
"We need to continue building new power plants , gasification development, improving water supply and sewerage systems, projects to expand the heating system," said Aliyev.
The president Aliyev also gave instructions on the upgrade elevators, landscaping yards of residential buildings, construction of new roads, public transport and the development of new metro stations.
Aliyev noted the need for greater control over housing, creating even more of Parks and Recreation Centers.
In 2014, a new state program of development of Baku and its settlements will be adopted. This year will be crucial in terms of preparation for the European Olympic Games 2015.
At the conference addressed the Mayor of Baku, Hajibala Abutalibov , Minister of Economy and Industry Shahin Mustafayev , the head of "Azersu", Gorkmaz Hasanov, and the head of "Azeristiliktajizat", Yashar Hasanov. --03D06--

A trilateral meeting of the foreign ministers, transport ministers, energy ministers, and heads of customs services of Russia, Iran, and Azerbaijan is set to take place soon to discuss the progress of the Rasht-Astara railway project, a key element of the International North-South Transport Corridor (INSTC).
