A conference on the results of the first year of implementation of the State program of socio-economic development of regions in 2014-2018 yearstook place in the Heydar Aliyev Center. Closed to the press event was attended by President of Azerbaijan Ilham Aliyev, who made an opening and closing speeches. The close event was attended by the Minister of Economy and Industry Shahin Mustafayev, Minister of Agriculture Heydar Asadov, Chairman of the Open Joint Stock Company "Irrigation and Water Management" Ahmadzade Ahmed, chairman of the Open Joint Stock Company "Azersu" Korkmaz Huseynov, reports the website of the President of Azerbaijan.
According to Turan, Azerbaijani President Ilham Aliyev signed a decree approving the "State program of socio-economic development of the Republic of Azerbaijan in 2014-2018 years" on February 27, 2014.
It was the third event, and provides the full mobilization of the economic potential of the regions. The state program focuses on the processes of production of non-oil resources, the creation of non-oil industries, corresponding to modern requirements and export potential, as well as expanding the use of innovation.
The priority in the program are noted implementation of infrastructure projects, including major repairs and construction of rural roads projects in improving water supply and sanitation, installation of water purification plants along the river in the villages, conducting land reclamation, the continued construction of reservoirs, improving supply situation of the population and gas electricity, the widespread use of alternative energy sources, construction of hydroelectric power plants of small volume, the creation of modern livestock and dairy farms.—0—
