The head of the International Monetary Fund (IMF) in Azerbaijan Mohammed El Gorchi recommended leadership of the Financial Market Control House (FMCH) taking measures for the recovery of the local banking system.
This was announced after the meeting of the FMCH Board Chairman Rufat Aslanli with the mission. The guests were also informed about plans to reform the financial and banking system. They were given full information on the current situation as well as about the challenges and problems.
The sides also discussed the possibility of cooperation in the financial system, and technical assistance to the prospects of joint activity. --17D-

Azerbaijani internet service providers Aztelekom and Baktelekom will introduce substantial changes to their pricing structure starting August 15, the companies announced today. Under the new tariffs, the minimum internet speed will rise to 100 Mbit/s, with the cost per Mbit/s decreasing from 0.45 AZN to 0.25 AZN. As a result, monthly charges will be set at 25 AZN for 100 Mbit/s, 30 AZN for 150 Mbit/s, and 36 AZN for 250 Mbit/s.
