In January of this year Azerbaijan was supplied butter in the amount of $ 2 million 659.8 thousand, which is three times higher than for the same period in 2014.
According to the State Customs Committee, in 2014 Azerbaijan imported 9,839 tons of butter, which is 17.6% more than the volume of deliveries in the previous year. Importers spent $ 25.1 million on the purchase. Import prices in annual terms have not changed and amounted to $ 2,552.8 / ton.
The largest supplier of butter into Azerbaijan, as before, was New Zealand. Last year, the country supplied to Azerbaijan 7,467.5 tons of butter at a total customs value of $ 20 175.9 thousand. The suppliers of this product are also manufacturers from Germany, Finland, France, Lithuania, Latvia and other countries
Last year, Azerbaijan produced 23.7 thousand tons of butter. The production grew by 7.7%. Last year, local companies reduced export of butter at 50 tons. The export of butter was about 158 tons ($ 381.9 thousand.).
Butter is sold in Azerbaijan at an average of 6.86 manat ($ 8.3) per kg. Last year, the prices rose by 3.3%. ---08B
